Utilizing Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence on Publicly Available Procurement Data
GSA released a publicly available Request For Information to the industry in order to explore the possibilities of artificial intelligence in data analysis of publicly available procurement data. We requested an analysis and aggregation of publicly-available government-wide data sources of their choosing. Examples included FedScope, FPDS-NG, USASpending, as well as any other publicly-available data sources that aligned to the various levels of the TBM taxonomy. We were interested in discovering the capabilities and functionality of software solutions or analytical services as it pertained to cleansing and/or extracting data from multiple data sources, using advanced data science techniques to aggregate that data into a predetermined taxonomy, as well as designing and building APIs. We were also interested in obtaining a description of the advanced data science techniques or tools that the software solution utilized, whether using Robotic process automation (RPA), or Artificial Intelligence (AI).
